Who Am I?

Hi there! My name is Sophie Rowan and I am a junior animator from Hood River, Oregon looking to jumpstart my career aspirations in the animation and design industry.  In October 2023, I received my Master of Arts in Animation at Leeds Arts University in Leeds, England.

Throughout my year at LAU, I focused on creating my own short film, collaborating on short animations with classmates, researching the advantages of teaching children through animation, and learning important aspects of the animation industry such as Project Bibles, animatics, production schedules, and more.

In June 2022, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Art and Technology from the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR. During these four years, I successfully acquired skills in many forms of media due to the wide varieties of courses within my major. I was able to learn graphic design, illustration, video editing, painting, 2D animation, and 3D animation.​

My primary focus in animation is children's television but my interests also include music, film, games, and advertisements.
